Kids Picks

Monster Squad - Fun film about a group of kids trying to stop the evil Dracula with the help of friends and Frankenstein. If you haven't seen this before, you should rush out and rent it! If you know where to buy a copy, let us know.

Double, Double Toil and Trouble - Mary Kate & Ashley Olsen star in this cute kids show about twins who are trying to free their great aunt from being banished forever in a mirror. If you like cute kids or just the Olsen twins, this is a fun film to have.

Casper, A Spirited Beginning - The second Casper film, this time with a new twist. When Casper doesn't go to the spirit world like he is supposed to, all heck breaks loose. As he tries to find his way, he befriends a boy who has nobody to care about but his father, who never has time for him. Not as good as the first, but still a kid pleaser!

Hocus Pocus - Ever wonder what happens when a virgin lights a candle and brings back to life 3 witches? Wonder no more! After watching this Bette Midler classic, you will definately be in the halloween spirit!

Halloween Tree - A fun holiday cartoon based on the Ray Bradbury book of the same name.

It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown - Charlie's search for the great pumpkin while dealing with his life's problems and the rest of the Peanuts cast. If you have the money, buy the 3 pack with the Christmas and Thanksgiving cartoons as well.

Casper - A fun filled ghostly adventure starring Christina Ricci and Bill Pullman as a family of ghosthunters who aren't expecting to actually find ghosts!

Ghostbusters - The ultimate classic ghost hunting movie. If you haven't seen this before, you must be living in a cave somewhere.

Ghostbusters 2 - The followup to the fabulous first Ghostbuster film. It follows the further adventures of the cast as well as a new baby and slime under the city.

Beetlejuice - This movie follows the life and quick death of two country life folks who soon find out how difficult death and haunting can be. Not only are the living hard to get along with, but sometimes the rest of the dead are a pain too! Does contain some humor that is a little mature for little ones.

The Nightmare Before Christmas - Dreary cartoon about a few residents in Halloweentown who are not content with having just on day of celebration. Definately a great show, but can be somewhat gloomy if you are looking for more of a happy cheery kid film.

Not-to-Scary Films

Rocky Horror Picture Show - If a musical sci-fi satire about an alien transvestite named Frank-n-Furter, who is building the perfect man while playing sexual games with his virginal visitors. This movie is not scary, but is too sexual in nature for children.

The Mummy - An action packed adventure about an Indiana Jones type crusader helping folks locate lost egytpion tombs.

Silver Bullet - Great movie about a small town being terrorized by a werewolf. The movie stars Corey Heim and Gary Busey as they try to find and kill the werewolf!

Horror Films

Scream - One of the most popular of the teen slasher flicks of the 90's. Neve Campbell stars as a girl being terrorized by a serial killer who likes to harrass her via telephone. Also Get Scream 2 and 3 to go along with it.

I Know What You Did Last Summer - Another 90's teen slasher flick, this time set in a New England fisherman's town. After accidentally running over someone with their car, a group of teens become targets for revenge. Stars Jennifer Love Hewitt and Sarah Michelle Geller and a cast of other teen icons. Sequel with Hewitt and singer Brandi is a worthy effort, but not as good as the first.

Halloween - The first in a series of sequels about a psycho killer loose on Halloween night. Make sure to watch the first one first, so the plot doesn't lose you in the sequels.

Nightmare on Elm Stree - The striped sweater wearing killer Freddie Krueger is out to get revenge on the decendants of those who live on Elm Street. Sweet Dreams...

Friday the 13th - Crystal Lake just hasn't been much fun since Jason drowned while at camp. Watch all the camp counselors drop like flies as the sequels tally up a nice bodycount.
